Access Collaborator
Are you looking for access support on an artistic project or making performance?
I work with disabled artists on their projects, collaborations, training and more. Together we can unfold what support and accessible working models are best for you.
Often neurodivergent and disabled people are forced to work within or are excluded from ableist working models. Together we can resist this and shape a working process for your body, needs and that of your collaborators.
Sometimes it can be hard to ask for support, especially if it’s your first time working with access support! I meet people where they are, across hugely different projects/in different spaces and places.
I am politicised in my practice, and carry awareness and work to understand the ever shifting barriers disabled and neurodivergent people face and how these barriers intersect with the experiences of racialised people and trans people.
I am trans and neurodivergent, and through my own experience and my community, I know how hard it is to live and resist every day. I learn from the talent and excellence of my peers; disabled artists in Scotland, and the Disability Justice* movement.
I work on a sliding scale - I adjust my fees based on the resources available and am always up for solidarity work.

*Disability Justice is a movement by disabled black, indigenous and queer people. At the centre of which is all liberation struggles are interconnected, that disabled rights are intertwined with anti imperialist struggles, trans liberation, indigenous land rights, climate collapse and a free Palestine. I am informed in my practice by thinkers such as Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samaransinha, Patti La Berne, Alice Wong, Dean Spade, Adrienne Maree Brown,Kai Cheng Thom and countless others.
Access coordinator
I have also worked as access coordinator or “show daddy” across larger projects such as Sanctuary Queer Arts/Aberdeen Performing Arts Eat the Rich Cabarets for the past few years. We consider artist access for the entire team, at all stages of the project and how we work together, unravelling different ways of working together, with an emphasis on care, pace and dissent from ableist models.
Access Consultant
I occasionally consult on access, I love to do this with people who are really curious about making their work truly accessible and integrating this into the process and production.
I consult within my lived and work experience. I encourage always consulting with people with lived experience of disability, so often suggest other disabled collaborators and consultants.
